WHEELING,WV - The Wheeling Nailers announced today that the Pittsburgh Penguins have reassigned defenseman Paul Bissonnette from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to the Wheeling Nailers, it was announced on Thursday.

Bissonnette, 21, appeared in three games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, going scoreless with six penalty minutes. He began the season with the Nailers, appearing in 13 games and recording six points (1-5-6) and 20 penalty minutes.

The 6-3, 200 pound defenseman split last season between Wheeling and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, recording 10 points (3-7-10) in 14 games with the Nailers and six points (1-5-6) in 55 games with the Penguins.

Bissonnette was drafted by Pittsburgh in the fourth round (121st overall) in the 2003 Entry Draft.
