Sauve assigned to Hershey, Brigley down for conditioning

HERSHEY – The HERSHEY BEARS announced today in conjunction with the Colorado Avalanche that goaltender Phil Sauve has been assigned to HERSHEY. The Avalanche and BEARS also announced at the same time that left wing Travis Brigley has been assigned to the AHL club on a two week conditioning assignment.

Sauve was HERSHEY'S number one goaltender in 2002-03, recording 26 wins and a 2.37 goals against average. He was the winning goaltender in the final regular season game ever played at HERSHEYPARK Arena on April 7th, 2002. Sauve played three seasons with HERSHEY, appearing in 157 games dating back to the 2000-01 season. With Colorado this season, he registered a 7-7-2 record with a 3.04 goals against average.

Brigley is in HERSHEY for his second conditioning stint of 2003-04. He played in one game during his first conditioning assignment, recording zero points on February 28th against Albany. Brigley has played in 32 games this season for Colorado, scoring three goals and adding four assists.

HERSHEY plays at home both Saturday and Sunday when the Norfolk Admirals and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins visit GIANT Center. Face-off on Saturday is at 7:00 p.m., with Sunday's game slated for 5:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the GIANT Center box office for both games.
