
Penguins reassign three players to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

WILKES-BARRE, PA - The National Hockey League's Pittsburgh Penguins have reassigned goaltender Andy Chiodo, forward Matt Murley and defenseman Rob Scuderi to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The announcement was made today by Penguins' General Manager Craig Patrick. In addition, goaltender Sebastien Caron has been recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
Chiodo, 20, appeared in eight games with the Penguins, posting a 3-4-1 record with a 3.46 goals against average and a .892 save percentage. In 31 games this season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Chiodo has posted a 12-13-2 record with a 2.35 goals against average and a .910 save percentage.
Murley, 24, appeared in 18 games with the Penguins, recording two points (1+1) and 14 penalty minutes. In 46 games this season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Murley has recorded 30 points (10+20) and 44 penalty minutes.
Scuderi, 25, appeared in 13 games with the Penguins, recording three points (1+2) and four penalty minutes. In 48 games this season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Scuderi has recorded 13 points (1+12) and 33 penalty minutes.
Caron, 23, has appeared in 12 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, posting a 7-3-2 record with a 1.94 goals against average, a.933 save percentage and two shutouts. In his last four starts, Caron is 3-1 with a 1.50 goals against average and a .945 save percentage. In addition, Caron has played in 32 games with the Penguins, posting a 5-22-3 record with a 3.92 goals against average and a .879 save percentage.
All three players arrived in Norfolk, Virginia tonight and will be in the lineup tomorrow night when the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (27-24-7-5, 66 pts., 5TH -Place, East Division) visit the Norfolk Admirals (30-27-4-5, 69 pts., 3RD -Place, East Division). Game time is set for 7:15 p.m. at Scope.
