Canucks Re-Assign Baumgartner, Fedorov, Pronger to Moose

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced today they have re-assigned defenceman Nolan Baumgartner, as well as forwards Fedor Fedorov and Sean Pronger to the Manitoba Moose.

Baumgartner has played in 45 games with the Moose this season, scoring six goals and adding 15 assists for 21 points to rank second in team scoring among defencemen. He also has 85 penalty minutes. Baumgartner recently tied a Moose season-high six-game scoring streak from Jan. 24 to Feb. 7 with two goals and eight assists for ten points during that stretch. This season, the 27-year old had played in five games with the Pittsburgh Penguins where he registered one point. The Calgary, AB native was claimed by Pittsburgh during the waiver draft from the Canucks back on October 3, 2003 and reclaimed off waivers by the Canucks on November 1, 2003. He has appeared in nine games with Vancouver this season, with three assists and two penalty minutes.

Fedorov, 22, has played in 43 games with the Moose this season, scoring 19 goals and adding 13 assists for 32 points to rank first on the Moose in goals. He also has 46 penalty minutes. Fedorov has played in eight games with the Vancouver Canucks this year, registering one assist. The Moscow native has played in 15 games in his NHL career, with two assists. In 101 career Moose games, Fedorov has scored 31 goals and added 27 assists for 58 points.

Pronger, 31, has played in 53 games with the Moose since being acquired in a trade from the Syracuse Crunch for Zenith Komarniski back on October 30, 2003. In that time, the Dryden, ON native has scored 10 goals and 19 points while collecting 39 penalty minutes. He also played seven games earlier this year with the Crunch where he scored two goals. In three games with Vancouver, Pronger registered one assist and four PIM.
