CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Cincinnati Mighty Ducks were assigned left wing Michael Holmqvist by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim on Tuesday.
Holmqvist, 24, had two goals with 25 penalty minutes in 21 games with Anaheim this season. The 6-foot-3, 212-pounder has appeared in 22 games with Cincinnati this season, recording seven goals and seven assists.
A native of Stockholm, Sweden, Holmqvist was drafted by Anaheim in the first round (18th overall) in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft.
