Worcester IceCats Winger Recalled by St. Louis Blues

WORCESTER, MA – St. Louis Blues Senior Vice President/General Manager and Worcester IceCats General Manager of Hockey Operations Larry Pleau announced today that rookie left winger Peter Sejna has been recalled by the St. Louis Blues.

The 24 year old Sejna embarks on his third stint in the NHL this season, after appearing in 43 games for the IceCats. During those 43 contests, the Slovakian-born winger registered eight goals and 19 assists: 43(8/19/27). His plus-6 rating is second-best on the IceCats.

His second campaign with St. Louis came on Thursday, March 4th in a 1-1 tie with the Edmonton Oilers. In his first tour of duty with St. Louis, the 5-11, 198 pound winger notched two goals and two assists in 18 games. The 2003 Hobey Baker Award winner's NHL totals now show 19 games played with no change in statistics.

The IceCats are on the road for four games beginning Wednesday, before returning to Worcester's Centrum Centre for a 7:05 face off with the Houston Aeros and Portland Pirates on Wednesday and Friday, respectively.
