Toledo Walleye News Release

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the East Coast Hockey League today announced that forward, Nathan Robinson, was selected as the InGlasCo ECHL Player of the Week. Storm goaltender, Doug Teskey, was also selected as a runner-up to the Richmond Renegade's Marc Magliarditi as the league's Goaltender of the Week.

Robinson, a first-year pro under contract to the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League, was re-assigned by the Red Wings from the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League for his second stint in Toledo last week. Robinson, who led the Ontario Hockey League in scoring last season as a member of the Belleville Bulls, racked up a total of four goals and seven points (and played at a +3) in the four games played by the Storm this week. Robinson picked up two goals and added an assist in wins over the Dayton Bombers (Wednesday, 02/26, 6-2) and the Cincinnati Cyclones (Friday, 02/28, 5-2) and added an assist against in the 8-3 win on Sunday (03/02) against the Wheeling Nailers. Robinson was credited with the game-winning goal in the Storm wins over Dayton and Cincinnati, and three of Robinson's seven points this week (including two of his goals) were picked up while the Storm was on the power play, as Toledo went 13-27 (48.1%) with the man advantage this week.

Teskey's numbers were equally impressive. The twenty-four year graduate of the University of Alaska, Anchorage, won all three games that he played and allowed a total of only five goals in those games (1.67 goals against average). Teskey stopped 101 of the 106 shots he faced this week for a .952 save percentage. His 44 stops on 46 shots in the 5-2 win over Cincinnati on Friday tied a season high for the Storm.

The Storm's next games are in Peoria against the Rivermen this Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. Opening face-off on Saturday night is at 8:00 p.m. (EST) and the broadcast can be heard live on WCWA 1230 am in Toledo and on the internet at www.toledostorm.com beginning at 7:30 p.m. (EST).
