GREENSBORO, NC - The Greensboro Generals were clicking on all cylinders when facing the Cincinnati Cyclones (28-21-5), capturing a 4-3 win at the Greensboro Coliseum in front of 3,995 in attendance. The season-high third consecutive victory puts the Generals just four points behind the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies in the Northeast Division.

Greensboro (35-13-6) got on the board first with a Jay Murphy goal at the 14:15 mark of the first. Murphy's goal proved to be the only score of the first period which featured 18 shots for the Generals.

Greensboro erupted in the second period with three goals, the first coming from Mark Turner. Following Turner's goal at the 12:54 mark, Rod Aldoff converted the game's only power-play, as Greensboro took a 3-0 lead. The Cyclones (28-21-5) were left searching for answers when Kurt Drummond sent both teams to the locker rooms with a goal and a Generals lead of 4-0 heading into the third.

In the third the Cyclones began a surge of their own, when Paul Strand scored just 1:21 into the period. Just 31 seconds later, Cincinnati's Nick Bootland scored to cut the Generals deficit to 4-2, with the momentum shifting to the Cyclones. Cincinnati added a late goal at the 19:21 mark of the third, as Bootland added his second goal of the game.
