WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH - The Utah Grizzlies National Hockey League (NHL) affiliate, the Dallas Stars, announced today that they have recalled right wing Jon Sim from the Grizzlies to replace a pair of forwards who have been placed on the injured list.

Sim, 25, currently is tied for ninth in the American Hockey League (AHL) in scoring with 27 points (9-18-27). The New Glasgow, Nova Scotia native leads the Grizzlies in several statistical categories including points (27), assists (18) and plus/minus (+8).

The 5-10, 190-pound right wing has played in 73 career NHL games (all coming with Dallas) recording nine goals and six assists for 15 points. Sim was originally a third round selection (70th overall) of the Stars in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft.

The Stars have an immediate need at the forward position after Ulf Dahlen and Kirk Muller were placed on the injured reserve.

Clair, 21, participated in the Grizzlies training camp before being assigned to Lexington. In 23 games with the Men-O-War Clair has scored four goals and added 10 assists while recording 46 penalty minutes. The 6-1, 190-pound right wing took part in the Dallas Stars developmental camp prior to the opening of training camp.
