Titans Open Five-Game Home Stand With A Pair Of Tough Weekend Contests

The Trenton Titans (10-11-2) fell below the .500 mark for the first time this season when they dropped both weekend games during their road trip to Ohio. This week the Titans open a five-game home stand on Friday night when they host the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies (15-6-4) in the fourth game of the "Garden State Cup" series. The Bullies have won the first three games by a combined score of 11-5. On Saturday night, it's the second of four meetings with the Dayton Bombers (9-14-3). The Titans defeated the Bombers 5-1 in Trenton on November 12 thanks to a goal and two assists from Adam Edinger.

"Titans ‘Get Shorty'; Tie Franchise Record:

The Titans are second in the ECHL with seven short-handed goals this season. Center Adam Edinger leads the team with three, while both of John Nail's goals this season have come short-handed. The Titans tied a franchise record for short-handed goals in a season (twice, 2000-01 and 2001-02) when Nail netted his goal in the second period of a November 29th, 3-2 win over Charlotte.

Titans In The Community:

On Thursday, December 12th, Scott Bertoli will read to the 2nd grade class of Upper Freehold Elementary School at 2 pm. On Monday December 16th, Titans players will read to the kindergarten class at Maurice Hawk Elementary School in West Windsor, NJ at 2 pm. The Titans Help To Feed The Homeless and Hungry Of Trenton:

Non-perishable food items continue to be collected in the month of December for the impending holidays. The Titans will be delivering more food to the homeless in the Trenton area for the Christmas holidays.

Schneider Continues Solid Play:

Rookie David Schneider added a power play goal in Saturday night's contest at Toledo to increase his total points to 14 this season. Schneider is third on the team in points, and first among all Titans' defensemen in goals (4), assists (10) and points. Schneider is currently second to Toledo's Grady Moore in points among ECHL rookie defensemen.
