Helping Near the Holidays

Kalamazoo, MI- Wings Stadium, which is also home to "The Annex" and "The Cube", and the Kalamazoo Wings announce that they have teamed up with Shoe Carnival to help bring cheer to 25 disadvantaged children.

The children, who all belong to the Boys and Girls Club will be given boots this Friday Night at the K-Wings home game against the Quad City Mallards. Game time at Wings Stadium is at 7:30 pm, and the game will also coincide with Poster Night sponsored by COOL 101 FM.

"We feel privilege to be working with Shoe Carnival and the Boys and Girls Club to help these children," said Vice President and General Manager Paul L. Pickard. "We (Wings Stadium/Kalamazoo Wings) are always looking to help in our community, and this means even more because it comes right near the holidays."

The Kalamazoo Wings also announce they will be visiting Bronson Hospital this Tuesday at 2 PM. K-Wing players will be delivering teddy bears to children at the hospital. The bears were collected last Friday night at the K-Wings Third Annual Teddy Bear Toss.

Stadium Management Company owns both Wings Stadium Complex and the Kalamazoo Wings hockey team. Wings Stadium Complex, which is comprised of three main buildings. Wings Stadium seats more than 5,100 fans for K-Wings home games and more than 8,000 people for concerts and other stage events. The Annex seats 1,367 for ice events and 2,850 for non-ice events such as car, boat, and trade shows. The Cube is a smaller facility that plays host to both ice and non-ice events. All three buildings are available for rental and feature numerous catering and meeting opportunities.
