UPCOMING WEEK: The Generals have another busy week, playing three games in a four-day stretch before taking a break for the holidays. Greensboro wraps up a four game homestand on Wednesday at 7:00 against the Columbia Inferno. Wednesday's game is "Teddy Bear Toss" night. Anyone who comes to the game with a stuffed animal will get a buy one ticket, get one free offer. When the Generals score their first goal of the game, the fans throw their bears on the ice, which will be collected by the Generals staff. On Thursday at 1:00, Generals players will hand-deliver the Bears to children staying in the pediatric ward of Moses Cone hospital over the holidays. Following a trip to Richmond to face the Renegades on Friday night at 7:35, Greensboro will host the Renegades on Saturday night at 7:30. The Generals will "White Out" the competition with the help of Hanes on Saturday. The first one thousand fans in the building will receive a Hanes tagless t-shirt and a sharpie. The shirts and sharpies can be put to good use after the game, with Generals players holding an autograph session after the game. LAST WEEK: 12/11 ATLANTIC CITY 5, GREENSBORO 1 ¨ The Generals could only muster a Mark Turner goal in the opening minute of the third period. At the time, it brought the Generals within a goal at 2-1, but the Boardwalk Bullies reeled off three unanswered goals, including two in the final 90 seconds, to seal the Generals fate. The loss snapped the Generals seven game unbeaten streak (6-0-1).

12/12 CHARLOTTE 1, GREENSBORO 3 ¨ Jay Murphy scored all three Generals goals for his second hat trick of the season, leading the Generals to victory. Murphy's first two goals were in the first period for a 2-0 advantage, then he added an empty net goal in the final minute. Jamie Hodson stopped 29 of 30 shots for the win before leaving due to dehydration with just under ten minutes left in the contest.

12/13 GREENVILLE 2, GREENSBORO 5 ¨ The Generals had a host of stars to lead them to victory over the defending Kelly Cup Champions. Vlad Serov netted a pair of goals and an assist, Jay Murphy scored a goal and contributed three assists, and goaltender Jamie Hodson was sterling for the second consecutive game with a whopping 52-save effort. Geno Parrish also played a major factor by scoring the game-winning goal early in the third period, while Rod Aldoff was a silent hero with a Generals record +5 rating in the game. This game was Pizza Hut's "Guaranteed Win Night", meaning everyone in the building received a free personal pan pizza courtesy of Pizza Hut because of the Generals' victory.

TRANSACTIONS: 12/11 Goaltender Jamie Hodson was reassigned to the Generals by the St. John's Maple Leafs (AHL).

12/11 Waived goaltender Edgars Eihvalds.

UPCOMING COMMUNITY

APPEARANCES: "Generals University" is in session this afternoon at Lindley Elementary School in Greensboro with Pete Gardiner and Juraj Slovak conducting class. "Generals University" has been designed by the Generals to teach children in third, fourth, and fifth grade about diversity in sports.

The Generals "Teddy Bear Toss" is being held on Wednesday. On Thursday at 1:00, Generals players will hand-deliver the bears to the pediatric ward of Moses Cone hospital.

NOTABLES: ¨ The Generals currently have the second best winning percentage in the league (.692).

¨ Generals defenseman Rod Aldoff set a franchise record by recording a +5 rating in the Generals 5-2 triumph over Greenville. The +5 also tied a league season high.

¨ Greensboro won their tenth home game of the year on Friday night, eclipsing last year's season total of nine well before Christmas.

¨ The Generals have had more power plays than shorthanded situations in a game only three times all season.

¨ Wednesday's game marked the first time all season the Generals were held below two goals.

¨ The Generals allowed their first hat trick of the season last Wednesday to Atlantic City's Jim Henkel. Greensboro has scored six hat tricks on the season.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES:

PLAYER: Jay Murphy — Murphy had a tremendous week, scoring four goals and adding four assists for eight points in three games. He also notched a +4 rating this week. Murphy had a hand in eight of the nine goals scored by Greensboro this week.

GOALIE: Jamie Hodson — Hodson was a perfect 2-0-0 for the week, posting a 1.63 goals against average and a sparkling .964 save percentage. Hodson is currently third in the league with a .939 save percentage.
