The Aces Foil Bakersfield Again
The Condors held leads of 2-0 and 3-1 in this game, but couldn't hold off the Anchorage Aces, who took a 4-3 shootout victory over Bakersfield. Christoffer Norgren scored just 32 seconds into the game and Jason Ralph made it 2-0 in the first period, with Paul Willett assisting on both goals. Anchorage pulled within a goal to make it 2-1 after one period. Paul Rosebush's goal in the second made it 3-1, but the Aces again came back with a power play goal in the second and a shorthanded goal in the third. Kimbi Daniels' breakaway while the Condors were on the power play tied the contest. In the extra session, three of four Aces scored, while the Condors came up scoreless in three tries. Bakersfield outshot Anchorage 41-20, and is now winless in five tries against the Aces.

Gulls Hold Off Condors on Sunday
Bakersfield came out strong in this game, but trailed after the first period. The Condors were outshooting San Diego early, but fell behind 1-0 when Trent Clark scored on an odd-man rush. Paul Willett evened the game at 1-1 in the second period during a goalmouth scramble. The goal gave him sole possession of the WCHL point-scoring lead and also gave him a point in seven-consecutive games. San Diego regained the lead late in the second period when Clayton Read netted a power play tally with just 1:25 remaining in the middle stanza. Bakersfield couldn't find the equalizer in the third period, and suffered the 2-1 loss.
