Connolly Recalled, Sivak Released from PTO

December 7, 2013 - American Hockey League (AHL) - Abbotsford Heat News Release

Abbotsford, BC - The Abbotsford Heat announced today that they have recalled forward Brendan Connolly from the Alaska Aces, the Heat's developmental affiliate in the ECHL, and released Peter Sivak from his Professional Try-Out (PTO). Sivak will join the Alaska Aces.

Connolly, a native of Canmore, Alberta has played in 18 games this season for the Aces and has recorded 17 points (6-11-17) and 44 penalty minutes. Connolly has 15 games of AHL experience in his career, split between the Texas Stars and Adirondack Phantoms, registering two points (0-2-2) and nine penalty minutes.

Sivak, a native of Cheb, Czech Republic, played in three games for the Heat and recorded two penalty minutes. This season with Alaska he has 23 points (6-17-23) and two penalty minutes in 15 games.

The Heat will host the San Antonio Rampage (AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers) for the second of the series tonight. The Heat will then host the Iowa Wild (AHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild) on Wednesday December 11th and Thursday December 12th.
