Davies Assigned to Alaska, Kremyr Released

Abbotsford Heat News Release
Abbotsford, BC - The Abbotsford Heat announced today that they have assigned defenceman Zach Davies to the Alaska Aces, the Heat's developmental affiliate in the ECHL. In a related move, the Heat released forward Jordan Kremyr.
Davies, a native of Smithers, BC, played in 14 games with the Heat during the regular season and recorded three points (3-0-3) and six penalty minutes. He scored his first career AHL goal on March 23rd, 2014 against the Toronto Marlies.
Kremyr, a native of Cloverdale, BC, played in 16 games with the Heat during the regular season and recorded one point (1-0-1) and six penalty minutes. He scored his first career AHL goal on March 29th against the Utica Comets.
The Heat continue their first round Calder Cup playoff series against the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings), in a do-or-die game on Wednesday, April 30th at Van Andel Arena. Puck drops at 4:00 PM PST.
