Calgary Hitmen Select Gregory Chase 22nd Overall In 2010 WHL Bantam Draft

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club is pleased to announce the selection of Gregory Chase with the 22nd overall pick in the 2010 WHL Bantam draft.

Chase is a 15-year-old centre from Sherwood Park, BC. He played AAA Bantam this past season with the Sherwood Park Flyers collecting 77 points (42g 35a) in 33 games.

In the second round, 44th overall, the Hitmen drafted centre Austin Calladine from Saskatoon, SK. Calladine, in AA Bantam this season with the Saskatoon Bandits, had 70 points (35g 35a) in 54 games.

The Hitmen had two picks in the third round. With their first selection, 54th overall, Calgary drafted left defenceman Colby Harmsworth from Saskatoon, SK and with the 66th overall pick, the Hitmen selected left defenceman Donald Marshall from Edmonton, AB.

The Bantam draft continues throughout the day at the Fantasyland Hotel in Edmonton.
