Saskatoon, SK - The Saskatoon Blades are pleased to select Ayrton Nikkel in the 2nd round of the WHL Bantam Draft.
"Ayrton is a good sized defenseman who skates well, competes extremely hard, plays real physical, and makes you pay a price. He also makes smart simple decisions with the puck, stated Blades Assistant General Manager Jarrod Brodsky.
The 6'0, 160lbs defenseman from Kelowna, BC had 18 points in 33 games and a +7 with the Bantam Tier 1 Rockets last season.
The Saskatoon Blades are proud to welcome Ayrton and his family to the organization.
