Blades Select Right Winger Christian Stockl In 4th Round

Saskatoon, SK - The Saskatoon Blades are pleased to select right winger Christian Stockl in the 4th round of the WHL Bantam Draft.

The 5'10, 143lbs right winger from Winnipeg, MB tallied 26 goals and 31 assists for 57 points in 29 games last season with the Winnipeg AAA Warriors.

"Christian is a very skilled skater that displays good speed and quickness," commented Blades' Regional Scout Russ Kutzak. "Christian loves to play the physical side of the game."

The Saskatoon Blades are proud to welcome Christian and his family to the organization.

*Note the Saskatoon Blades did not have a 3rd round pick this year as it was traded to the Seattle Thunderbirds along with Stefan Burzan for Jeremy Boyer this past 2009-2010 season.
