The Saskatoon Blades completed the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft having selected 12 up & coming 1995 born players.

Overall the Blades selected 7 forwards, 4 defensemen and a goalie. "As an organization, we are pleased with the picks we selected today and feel that we have addressed all areas on our depth chart," stated General Manager & Head Coach Lorne Molleken.

The Blades 1st round pick was Tim McGauley, a forward from of Wilcox, Saskatchewan. "McGauley was a player we targeted going into the draft due to his tremendous offensive upside," stated Molleken. McGauley notched a total of 103 points in 26 games with the Lumsden/Bethune Contacts of the South Saskatchewan Hockey League last season.

In the 2nd round the Blades chose defenseman Ayrton Nikkel . "Nikkel is a defensive type defenseman", stated Molleken. The native of Kelowna, BC tallied 18 points in 33 games with the Bantam AAA Rockets and will add even more depth to the Blades' blueline.

The Blades also drafted one hometown kid in Conner Kortko in the 6th round. Kortko was a member of the Saskatoon Frostbite this past season who went on to the Western Canadian Bantam Championships. Connor is the son of Saskatoon Blades Alumnus Roger Kortko.
