Toledo Walleye News Release
(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the East Coast Hockey League today announced that forward, Andre Payette, has been re-assigned to the Storm by the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League. Payette (6'02/219) (26), a tenth round pick of the Philadelphia Flyers in the 1994 National Hockey League Entry Draft, joined the Storm in November and played three games, scoring a goal, assisting on another, and adding 36 penalty minutes before breaking his hand in game against the Cincinnati Cyclones on November 24. In that game, Payette actually scored the game-winning goal. After rehabilitating his injury, Payette was called up to Manitoba where he played eight games and picked up five fighting majors. In an unrelated transaction, the Storm also placed forward, Mike Bayrack, on the seven day injured reserve.
The Storm returns to action on Friday night in Peoria, Illinois against the Peoria Rivermen for the final game of a four game road trip. Game time is 8:00 p.m. (EST), and the game broadcast can be heard live on WCWA 1230 am in Toledo and www.toledostorm.com
