January 27, 2003 - ECHL (ECHL) News Release
A 5-2 win over Toledo on Sunday extended Peoria's home winning streak to nine games, the longest current home streak and two games shy of the East Coast Hockey League season high of 11 games by Toledo (October 11-November 29). The Rivermen lost 2-1 in a shootout at Lexington on Friday, ending their ECHL season high winning streak at eight games. Peoria is 10-0-1 in its last 11 games, 13-1-1 in its last 15 games and 16-2-1 in its last 19 games. The Rivermen are 29-10-3 and in second place in the Northwest Division with 61 points, three points behind leader Toledo (29-8-6).

Tyler Rennette has scored nine goals, including four game-winning goals, in the last 11 games and is tied for the ECHL lead in goals with 29 and game-winning goals with eight. Rennette leads the ECHL with seven shorthand goals and is tied for second in the ECHL with 13 power-play goals while leading the Rivermen in scoring (47 points) and plus-minus (+21).

Chouinard is 12-2-0 and is tied for the ECHL lead with three shutouts while ranking fourth with a .924 save percentage. Chouinard's 2.12 goals against average would lead the ECHL, but he has played only 820 minutes, 50 shy of the required minimum of 870 minutes. Michaud is 8-1-2 and is tied for second in the ECHL with a .927 save percentage. Michaud has a 2.16 goals against average in 667 minutes played.
