Augusta's Zulianello Named ECHL Goalie of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Augusta's Colin Zulianello is the East Coast Hockey League Goalie of the Week for January 20-26.

The 24-year-old Zulianello was 2-0 with a 1.50 goals against average and a .959 save percentage as Augusta won back-to-back games for only the third time in 2002-03.

Under contract to Phoenix of the National Hockey League, Zulianello made 35 saves in a 7-1 win at Columbia on Friday and had 36 saves in a 4-2 win at Columbus on Saturday. He was recalled to Phoenix on January 4, but did not dress in a game.

In his last three games, Zulianello is 2-0-1 with a 2.00 goals against average and a .945 save percentage, improving his record to 5-7-1 with a 3.08 goals against average and a .908 save percentage.

The 6-2 and 190-pound Zulianello has played one game for Springfield of the American Hockey League, making 23 saves in a 5-4 loss at Binghamton on January 11.

Signed to a free-agent contract by Phoenix out of Colorado College in September of 2001, Zulianello was 18-11-1 with a .910 save percentage in 33 regular season games for Mississippi in 2001-02.
