Trenton's Edinger Named InGlasCo ECHL Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Trenton's Adam Edinger is the InGlasCo East Coast Hockey League Player of the Week for January 20-26.

Edinger scored five points (3g-2a) and was +3 as Trenton swept a two-game series against Southeast Division leader Pee Dee.

The 25-year-old Edinger scored a goal and added an assist in a 3-2 win over Pee Dee on Friday and had two goals and an assist in Trenton's 4-2 win over the Pride on Saturday.

Selected in the fifth round (115th overall) by the New York Islanders in the 1997 National Hockey League Entry Draft, Edinger is tied for second in the ECHL with 13 power-play goals and tied for fourth with four shorthand goals. He leads Trenton with 24 goals and 43 points and is tied for the team lead with three game-winning goals. He has also played five games with Hershey of the American Hockey League, scoring one point (0g-1a).

On behalf of Adam Edinger, a case of pucks will be donated to a Trenton area youth hockey organization by InGlasCo.
