Wietgrefe Deals Six Strong in 4-1 Win
June 13, 2026 - CURVE, Pa. - The Altoona Curve, playing as the Altoona Mud Turtles, got a brilliant starting pitching performance and cruised to a 4-1 win over the Chesapeake Baysox on Saturday night in front of 4,582 fans at Peoples Natural Gas Field.
Lefty Connor Wietgrefe began his outing with 4.1 hitless innings before allowing singles in the fifth and sixth inning. Wietgrefe, who matched his season-long with six innings on the mound, set a new career-high with eight strikeouts and allowed just four total baserunners in his outing. I... June 13, 2026 - COLUMBUS, Ga. - The Pensacola Blue Wahoos beat the Columbus Clingstones 4-0 on Saturday night, riding another dominant start from veteran lefty Luis Palacios to a combined three-hit shutout.
Palacios (W, 4-0), the winningest pitcher in franchise history, earned his 28th career Double-A victory with 5.0 innings of one-hit ball. Jack Sellinger and Holt Jones (S, 1) finished off the shutout with effective relief.

Mets Dominate Cardinals 10-1 to Claim Series Victory
June 13, 2026 - JUPITER, Fla. - The St. Lucie Mets enjoyed a dominant 10-1 win over the Palm Beach Cardinals on Saturday night at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium. The Mets lead the series 4-1 which ensures their third series victory in their last four series.
Mets starter Jonathan Jimenez was impressive over 6.0 inning. The right-hander limited the Cardinals to one run on two hits. Jimenez did not walk a batter and struck out four. He threw only 78 pitches and earned his first win of the season.

Walk off Win Helps Howlers Sweep Doubleheader
June 13, 2026 - The Hill City Howlers stole the doubleheader over the Wilson Warbirds on Saturday afternoon, winning both late in the game.
Game one fell 4-3 after the Howlers retook the lead in the eighth inning. Game two was a 1-0 pitcher's duel capped off by an Anthony Martinez walk-off home run in the seventh.
The pitching staffs were dominant for both games, with the Howlers outlasting the Warbirds. Game one was a continuation of last night's game which was halted midway through the first inning for inclement weather.
