Baseball's Top Prospect, Konnor Griffin, Joins Altoona

August 18, 2025 - CURVE, PA - The Pittsburgh Pirates confirmed Monday that Konnor Griffin, the No. 1 prospect in baseball according to MLB Pipeline and Baseball America, will join the Altoona Curve ahead of this week's series with the Reading Fightin Phils beginning Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m. at Peoples Natural Gas Field. Cimillo Drives Dramatic Homer in Walk-Off Loss at Richmond

August 17, 2025 - RICHMOND, Va. - Nick Cimillo blasted a go-ahead two-run homer in the top of the eighth, but Altoona dropped their series finale at The Diamond in Richmond, 6-5, on Sunday night. Altoona holds a 1.5 game lead in the Southwest Division with 24 games remaining in the Second Half heading into next week's series with Reading. Valdez Drives in Two in Shutout Win at Richmond

August 16, 2025 - RICHMOND, Va. - Esmerlyn Valdez drove in both runs of Altoona's 2-0 win over the Richmond Flying Squirrels on Saturday night at The Diamond. With the win, Altoona clinched a series victory over Richmond and hold a 2.5 game lead in the Southwest Division with 25 games to play in the Second Half. Four Curve pitchers, Blake Townsend, Po-Yu Chen, Mike Walsh and Tyler Samaniego combined on a four-hit shutout of Richmond. Cimillo Blasts Squirrels in Comeback Win

August 15, 2025 - RICHMOND, Va. - Nick Cimillo hit a go-ahead two-run homer in the top of the seventh and the Curve bullpen locked down a 5-4 win over the Richmond Flying Squirrels at The Diamond. With the victory, Altoona holds a 3.0 game lead in the Southwest Division with 26 games remaining in the Second Half. Altoona's offense picked up 11 hits and drew three walks, the third time this week that the team has picked up at least 11 hits in the team's series at Richmond.
