Tomahawks Fall 6-3 to Generals

NAHL Johnstown Tomahawks September 25, 2021 - The Northeast Generals defeated the Johnstown Tomahawks 6-3 Saturday night and secured the weekend sweep on home ice at the New England Sports Village. After both sides settled into the game with a lot of intensity to start early on, the Generals would strike first as CJ Zezima opened the scoring 12:43 into the game. About a minute later, Billy Simms was whistled for tripping, which resulted in a second goal for the Generals coming from Matt Boczar just 1:50 later. NAHL Johnstown Tomahawks September 18, 2021 - The Tomahawks got the first power play opportunity of the game 5:56 in, then ended up in the penalty box themselves not long after. Both teams went back to full strength with the game remaining scoreless. With 2:36 remaining in the 1st, TJ Koufis (Palatine, IL) was sent to the box for tripping. Tomahawks netminder Sam Evola (Rochester, MI) was hard at work on the penalty kill, making a sequence of saves, without his stick. NAHL Johnstown Tomahawks September 17, 2021 - The Johnstown Tomahawks defeated the Minnesota Wilderness Friday afternoon on Day 3 of the NAHL Showcase by a final score of 4-1. The two teams wasted no time at all getting involved with each other as Dusty Geregach (McKees Rocks, PA) and former Tomahawk forward, Max Neill, were sent to the box for coincidental roughing minors after an incident in front of the Johnstown net just 1:53 into the opening period. NAHL Johnstown Tomahawks September 16, 2021 - After yesterday's loss to the Aberdeen Wings, the Tomahawks went with their newest netminder, Karsten Bourgoine (Fairfield, MN) in between the pipes Thursday afternoon against the Brown Bears. Kenai River's Hunter Allen broke the ice scoring the first goal 9:34 into the game, getting the deflection off Cole Dubiki's initial shot. The goal was scored on the power play with Johnstown's Will Elger (Westerville, OH) in the box for high-sticking.
