Utah Grizzlies News Release

Anchorage, Alaska - The ECHL Announced today that Utah Grizzlies Equipment Manager Eddie Summers has been selected to represent the National Conference at the league's 2007 RBK All-Star game, which will take place Wednesday, January 17 in Boise, Idaho.

Summers is in his second season with the Grizzlies, following a year with the Peoria Rivermen, where he worked with Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Jason Christie. Prior to that, the Boise resident worked four years with the Idaho Steelheads. His son David is currently the Assistant Equipment Manager for the Steelheads.

"As a cancer survivor, Eddie has conquered several courageous battles during his life," said Christie. "He is a consummate professional and we are very proud of him for being named to the National Conference All-Star team; especially since it is taking place in his hometown."

Eddie has a BA in Marketing Mid-Management from Boise State University. In addition, he also carries AS degrees in Marketing Mid-Management and Electrical Engineering. He has also completed two of four years in Athletic Training.

Summers will be joining Utah rookie defenseman Andy Sertich at the All-Star game.

The Grizzlies return to action Friday in Alaska. Face-off is scheduled for 9:15 p.m.
