Lynx add Marakhovski, Petz

Augusta, GA - The Augusta Lynx announced today that the have activated defenseman Roman Marakhovski from the injured reserve list, and signed veteran forward Ryan Petz prior to tonight's game with the Gwinnett Gladiators at the James Brown Arena at 7:35 pm.

Marakhovski has yet to play a game for Augusta this season after suffering an injury during training camp. Returning to the U.S. after three years in France, the 6-2, 195-pound blueliner last played for Greensboro of the ECHL in 2002-03, scoring twice and totaling seven points along with 80 PIMs and a plus-10 rating in 59 games.

Petz is a familiar name to Lynx fans, having spent a good portion of his pro career playing for the Columbia Inferno and Pee Dee Pride. In 514 professional games over 12 seasons, the 32-year-old Calgary, Alberta native has scored 160 goals and 351 points. Standing 5-11 and weighing 195 pounds, Petz has played 503 ECHL games, putting him 20th all-time in league history.
