Dubnyk Returns To Thunder Net Tonight

STOCKTON, Calif. * The Stockton Thunder, an ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers, has announced goaltender Devan Dubnyk has been added back to the Thunder roster from Team Canada, while emergency backup goaltender Rob Laurie has been released.

In addition, left wing Adam Huxley has been placed on the three-day injured reserve list.

Dubnyk, a first round selection of the Edmonton Oilers (14th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, was selected to Team Canada for the Spengler Cup tournament in Switzerland on December 18 and made 15 saves in a 5-2 win for Canada over Germany (EHC Berlin) on December 30. Team Canada was coached by Pat Quinn and went 3-2 in the tournament, advancing to the championship game.

The 20-year old rookie goaltender was selected to the National Conference roster for the 2007 RBK Hockey ECHL All-Star Game on December 22 and has gone 8-2-4 in 14 games this season with Stockton, posting a 2.71 goals-against-average (ranking 12th in the ECHL) and a .914 save percentage.

The Thunder returns to play tonight with a 6:10 p.m. road game against the Idaho Steelheads at Qwest Arena. The game can be heard live on the internet (free-of-charge) and is viewable for a $6 "pay-per-view" charge at www.stocktonthunder.com (courtesy of B2 Networks).

The Thunder drew 228,364 fans to Stockton Arena in its inaugural season, the ECHL's best attendance mark for 2005-06.
