Wranglers fall to Condors, 3-2

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers® were defeated by the Bakersfield Condors 3-2 on Friday night in front of 5,655 fans at the Orleans Arena. Center Andrew Ianiero's eighth goal of the season in the first period, was the game winner for the Condors. Wranglers' forwards Kelly Czuy and Marco Peluso each scored for Las Vegas in the loss. Wranglers' goalie Kevin Nastiuk stopped 26 of 29 shots in loss. The Wranglers travel to Phoenix to face the Roadrunners Saturday night at U.S. Airways Arena at 6:11 pm (PST).

In the first period, Brett Lutes scored his 16th goal of the season to give Bakersfield a 1-0 lead. The Condors added a second goal as Mike Hoffstrand found the back of the net on the power play to give Bakersfield a 2-0 lead. Condors forward Andrew Ianiero capped off Bakersfield's scoring with 1:26 left in the period for the 3-0 lead.

In the second period, Las Vegas winger Marco Peluso fired a one-timer past Jamie Hodson to get the Wranglers on the board 3-1. Las Vegas forward Kelly Czuy scored his fourth goal of the season just 1:13 later to finish the scoring for both teams at 3-2.

Las Vegas will host Victoria at 7:05 pm Tuesday night at the Orleans Arena.
