Augusta, GA - A three goal wave in the final 5:27 of the second period carried the Augusta Lynx to a 3-2 win over the Gwinnett Gladiators Thursday night at the James Brown Arena.

After a scoreless first period, Jamie Milam's point shot through traffic beat Dave McKee over the left shoulder at 10:25 for a power play goal and a 1-0 Gladiators lead.

The Lynx would follow with a Louis Goulet power play goal to open their scoring barrage at 14:33. A backdoor pass from Sean Blanchard found Goulet for his 13th of the year and a tie game.

Ryan Lang potted his 15th goal of the year from Blanchard and Nick Kuiper as he threw the puck towards the Gladiators goal while on a two-on-one, banking it in off the skate of forward Joel Stepp to give Augusta the lead. The four-on-four goal came at 19:07, and was followed by Shane Hynes tipping a Louis Goulet pass out of the air and past Dave Caruso for his 11th of the season at 19:42 and a 3-1 Augusta advantage after 40 minutes of play.

In the third, Gwinnett's power play struck once again at 14:41 to make it 3-2, as Jim Jackson took the puck as it rebounded off the back boards and one-timed it past McKee to draw the Gladiators within a goal.

McKee was solid in net all night for the Lynx, making a total of 35 saves including a point-blank stop on Mike Vigilante in the third period to help preserve the win. Caruso ended the night with 19 saves in taking the loss.
