LAST GAME : Victoria started their 12-day road trip with a one-game clash at the Long Beach Arena with the Ice Dogs. Siblings Wes and Ash Goldie met for the second time this season and once again led the charge in the first period. Ash Goldie gave Long Beach the 1-0 lead with a shorthanded goal, and Wes Goldie replied with two consecutive powerplay goals to give Victoria the 2-1 advantage. The Ice Dogs evened the score in the second as David Walker posted a powerplay marker and Darryl Lloyd regained the Salmon Kings lead as he netted a penalty shot goal on Netminder Brett Jaeger. Long Beach rounded out the second period with two goals in under one minute of play as Terry Harrison and Donald Johnson each tallied their third goal of the season, and gave the Ice Dogs a 4-3 lead. In the final stanza, Victoria scored three unanswered goals. Wes Goldie earned a hat trick, Defenseman Matt Kelly pushed in a powerplay goal, and Kiel McLeod secured the win with a shorthanded breakaway marker. 6-4 Victoria

LAST GAME vs Fresno: In the Salmon Kings third game in three days in their last road trip, the Falcons nabbed the first goal of the Sunday afternoon showdown with 5:29 remaining in the first period. Josh Prudden completed a 2-on-1 rush for his sixth goal of the season. Victoria replied with a powerplay goal from F.P. Guenette in the second stanza, and both teams head into the third period locked at 1-1. Pierre-Olivier Beaulieu gave Fresno the 2-1 lead with a wraparound goal and John Morlang sealed the victory with an empty netter with 33 seconds remaining.

MORRISON MINUTES: Since the inception of Mark Morrison as head coach, the Salmon Kings are 3-1-0....won their first series in club history versus Alaska....defeated Long Beach in their "Guaranteed Win Night" promotion... improved average goals per game from 3.11 to 4.00...are 22.2% on the powerplay in the last four games....sit at 5th in overall powerplay and remain 1st in powerplay on the road in the ECHL.
