
Storm Announce 2005-06 Schedule Revision

(Toledo, Ohio) Toledo Storm of the ECHL announced today its revised schedule for the 2005-06 season. The schedule was revised due to Mississippi and Texas going to a voluntary suspension due to the hurricanes. The full text of the schedule and breakdown follows this release.
Toledo will still open its' fifteenth season at home on October 21st against its archrival the Dayton Bombers. This will be the eighth consecutive season that the Storm will open at home. It will also mark the first of now thirteen meetings between the Ohio rivals, with the extra game coming Tuesday, February 21st, at Dayton. The other change to the schedule is another match up with the Wheeling Nailers on February 22nd. That game, a home contest, was originally scheduled against the Charlotte Checkers. The 2005-06 campaign will also see the Storm battle division foes the Johnstown Chiefs, Reading Royals, and the Trenton Titans twelve times apiece, with each team hosting six games. Toledo will welcome in the Reading Royals, the team that eliminated the Storm from the playoffs, for the first time on Sunday, November 6th. The Storm will also host Dayton on New Year's Eve, the first time Toledo has been home that night since December 31, 1999.
November features a six-game home stand in which the Victoria Salmon Kings and Stockton Thunder will be making their first appearances in Toledo, November 5th and 18th respectfully. Seven of Toledo's ten games in November will be played on home ice. The Las Vegas Wranglers will visit Toledo for the first time for back-to-back games on December 9th and 10th. The Greenville Grrrowl will be in Saturday, March 4th.
The 2005-06 schedule will also see the Storm head south two different times. Toledo will play three games on a December swing that starts with Columbia on December 16th. From there, the Storm will head to Gwinnett December 17th, before finishing the road swing December 20th at Greenville. Toledo will play two games in Charlotte January 28th and 29th.
Toledo starts the preseason with two games in Florida October 13th and 14th.
The lone home contest of the preseason is Saturday October 15th against
