Gulls announce training camp roster

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Gulls, who began workouts on Friday, announced their training camp roster for the 2005-06 season. Some 25 players were invited to camp, which includes 13 forwards, 10 defensemen and two goaltenders.

San Diego has six players returning from last season's squad: Guillaume Fournier, Darren Clark, Grady Moore, Jonathon Shockey, Nikita Korovkin and Chet Ferreira.

The Gulls have five players in camp who were assigned by the Colorado Avalanche: Tyler Weiman, Tom Lawson, Frantisek Skladany, Tomas Slovak and David Svagrovsky. San Diego named Colorado its NHL affiliate on Sept. 1.

Rookie defenseman Mitch Love, who signed with the Gulls earlier in the offseason, is currently with the American Hockey League's Lowell Lock Monsters.
