ECHL Releases Revised Schedule
October 7, 2005 - ECHL (ECHL)
Atlanta Gladiators News Release
The ECHL released a revised playing schedule for the 2005-06 season today following the voluntary suspensions of the Mississippi Sea Wovles and the Texas Wildcatters due to hurricanes Katrina and Rita respectively.
Thirty-four of the Gladiators 36 home game dates for the 2005-06 season remained unchanged while just 13 of 36 home game opponents remained the same. Gwinnett will still face the Toledo Storm on December 17th at 7:35 p.m. and the Gladiators two meetings with the 2005 Kelly Cup Champion Trenton Titans remained unchanged on Friday, December 9th and Sunday, February 12th.
Two home games at the Arena at Gwinnett Center have been moved to accommodate the loss of Mississippi and Texas. The Gladiators were originally scheduled to host the Mississippi Sea Wolves on Tuesday, February 28th but will now host the Greenville Grrrowl on Tuesday, February 7th. The Gladiators were originally scheduled to host the Texas Wildcatters on March 19th but will now take on the South Carolina Stingrays on February 3rd at the Arena at Gwinnett Center.
The Gladiators will continue to play 26 of 36 home games on Friday, Saturday or Sunday this season. Tuesday and Thursday home games will again begin at 7:05 p.m. with Saturday and Sunday games beginning at 7:35 p.m. while Sunday home games will begin at 4:05 p.m. The Gladiators lone Monday game on January 16th will begin at 12:30 p.m. A complete schedule follows this release.
The Gwinnett Gladiators open the 2005-06 ECHL season at the Arena at Gwinnett Center hosting the Charlotte Checkers on October 21st. The Gladiators offer several ticket packages for different needs as well as group outings, suites and birthday parties. For more information call 770-497-5100 or log on to gwinnettgladiators.com.
