Revised Schedule Released

October 7, 2005 - ECHL (ECHL)
Johnstown Chiefs News Release

Johnstown, PA (October 7, 2005) - The Johnstown Chiefs and the ECHL released the revised 2005-2006 playing schedule today. The revision was necessary due to the voluntary suspensions of the Mississippi Sea Wolves and Texas Wildcatters. Both teams were affected by the devastation of Hurricane Katrina and Rita respectively.

Only a couple of changes were made to the Chiefs schedule from the schedule released in the early spring. The Chiefs will now open the 2005-06 season on Friday, October 21st when they visit the Columbia Inferno. The team will then make the 570 mile trek home and have their home opener the next night against the Reading Royals at 7:00 p.m.

The Chiefs lost their originally scheduled game against the Stockton Thunder on November 16th. The game is now scheduled against the Trenton Titans and will be played on February 1st.

Individual game tickets will go on sale for all home games on Monday, October 17th at the War Memorial Arena Box Office beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The 2005-2006 season presented by First National Bank begins on Saturday October 22nd, when the Chiefs host the Reading Royals at 7:30 p.m. Season tickets and sponsorships for the upcoming season are still available by calling the Chiefs office at (814) 539-1799 or 1-800-SLAPSHOT.
