Fort Wayne, IN -- The Komets (7-15-1) will host the Mississippi RiverKings (13-14-1) tonight at the Memorial Coliseum at 7:30pm ET. It's the first of two visits by the RiverKings this season.
The Komets are riding a three-game unbeaten streak (2-0-1) while the Berry Conference RiverKings have lost it's last two outings and enters the game tonight on a six-game road winless streak.
Komet defenseman Guy Dupuis has a three-game assist streak (5 assists). Dupuis has 399 Fort Wayne career (regular season) assists going into tonight's match. He is also only three assists away from tying Lionel Repka's record of 402 Fort Wayne career assists by a defenseman. Dupuis is also five assists shy of tying Repka's Fort Wayne all-time career record (regular season and playoffs) of 435 assists by a defenseman.
The Komets will be skating their second of three holiday home games this week. Monday the K's doubled-up the visiting Dayton Gems 4-2 and Friday will host the 54th Fort Wayne traditional New Year's Eve game against the Quad City Mallards at 8pm.

Welcome Artem Podshendyalov -- forward Artem Podshendyalov (AR-tem pod-SHEN-duh-loff) is expected to see his first pro action tonight. The 21-year-old hails from Omsk, Russia, and has been practicing with the Komets the last few weeks. Podshendyalov skated with the Bradford Rattlers of the Greater Metro Hockey League last year and led the team with 62 goals, 62 assists and 124 points in 42 games.
Not dressing tonight: Right wing Kaleigh Schrock (10-day IR), defenseman Bobby Phillips (10-day IR) and defenseman Steven Delisle (30-day IR).
