CHL All-Star Game Fan Vote Introduced

TEMPE, AZ (December 29, 2010) -The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today the details for the first ever CHL Facebook Fan Vote, presented by CHL Loyalty Rewards. The contest will give fans the opportunity to determine the 19th and final player for the 2011 CHL All-Star team. The 2011 CHL All-Star Game will take place on Wednesday, January 12 at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center Arena in Rapid City, South Dakota and will feature the host Rush taking on a team of CHL All-Stars.

The four candidates for fans to choose from are Bossier-Shreveport forward Justin Aikins, Colorado forward Riley Nelson, Missouri forward Nick Sirota and Odessa forward Todd Robinson. The player who earns the most first place votes between today and Friday, December 31 at 5:00 PM CST will earn the final all-star spot.

The only place to vote is on the CHL ‚¬â„¢s Facebook page (fans can access by visiting www.centralhockeyleague.com).

One randomly selected lucky fan who votes for the winning player will win a CHL Prize Pack and 1,000 CHL Loyalty Rewards points. For more information about the CHL ‚¬â„¢s loyalty program, visit www.chlpoints.com.

Player Bios:

Justin Aikins (Bossier-Shreveport) - Tied for third in the CHL with 38 points (11-27=38) and is carrying a +15 plus/minus rating. The forward is having a career year sitting just one point shy of his CHL high-point total of 39, set last season.

Riley Nelson (Colorado) - The veteran forward leads the Eagles in scoring with 35 points (11-24=35) and is a +15 on the season. In his eighth season with the Eagles, Nelson has steadily been climbing the league ‚¬â„¢s all-time charts ranking among the top 10 in points and goals.

Nick Sirota (Missouri) - The second-year pro leads the balanced attack of the Turner Conference leading Mavs with 25 points (12-13=25) and is a +11 on the season. He has been hot lately scoring seven goals with five assists in his last 10 games.

Todd Robinson (Odessa) - The veteran forward leads the league with 49 points (16-33=49) and is tied for third with his 16 goals. The first-year Jack has been on fire as of late with four goals and eight helpers in his last five games.
