The Bloomington PrairieThunder (15-9-1) face off with the Dayton Gems (15-11-1) on Thursday night at 7:05pm at U.S. Cellular Coliseum in downtown Bloomington. Both squads have thirty-one points making them tied for fourth place in the Central Hockey League's Turner (Northern) Conference. It's the fifth meeting of the year and Dayton currently leads the season series 3-1. Each team has placed a player on the Central Hockey League's All-Star Team which will play the host Rapid City Rush on Wednesday, January 12th at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center Arena in Rapid City, South Dakota. Bloomington's Jason Dale has been named to the team and is the youngest member of the roster at twenty-two years of age. Dale, from Pickering, Ontario, leads the PrairieThunder in scoring with 8 goals and 13 assists for 21 points in 25 games. Dayton's representative is goaltender Jeff Jakaitis from Rochester, Minnesota. In 22 games, Jakaitis has posted a 2.54 goals against average and a 93% save percentage for the Gems.
