Wichita Thunder News Release

WICHITA, KS- The Central Hockey League announced Wednesday that Wichita Thunder left wing Matt Robinson has been selected to the 2011 CHL All-Star Team as a reserve.

Robinson has 15 goals and 16 assists through 26 games played with a +4 rating and eight penalty minutes. The Surrey, British Columbia native has been most impressive since joining Wichita through a November 8th trade with Laredo. Robinson has scored 14 of his goals in just 18 games in a Thunder sweater.

Robinson's 15 goals rank tied for sixth in the CHL while his 31 points are tied for 15th. On December 14th at Tulsa, the 25-year old became the first Thunder player since March of 2006 to score four goals in a game. The five-point performance sparked a personal four-game goal scoring streak. The fifth-year professional potted 31 goals in the ECHL last season, splitting time with Johnstown and Stockton.
