
Bicek Named to CHL All-Star Team

EVANSVILLE, IN.--- The Evansville IceMen, in conjunction with the Central Hockey League, have announced on this date that IceMen left wing BRIAN BICEK has been selected to play in the 2010 Central Hockey League All-Star Game on January 12th in Rapid City, North Dakota.
BICEK, 25, is enjoying another banner season in his third campaign as a pro. The former Western Michigan U. standout ranks second for the IceMen in overall team scoring while recently ascending into the top 25 point-producing elite in the CHL. Having played in all 29-games at this juncture of the 2010-11 CHL season, the Downers Grove, IL native has registered 28-points on 12-goals, 16-assists with 24-PIM. The jet-streaming 5-9, 175lb speedster shares the team's top total in goal productivity and leads the IceMen with 2-SHG. His 4-PPG tie him for the runner-up position for Evansville. Bicek has been flourishing lately with 7-points in the last 4-games on 2-goals, 5-assists.
Bicek is one of 12-All-Star reserves whose selections were revealed today by the Central Hockey League. The All-Star reserves represent the culmination of the selection process as orchestrated by the All-Star Co-Coaches, Scott Hillman from Missouri and Dwight Mullins of Allen as well as through the Central Hockey League's Hockey Operations Department.
The 2010-11 CHL All-Star Game will feature the reigning Ray Miron President's Cup League Champions, the host team Rapid City Rush clashing with a team composed of players from each of the remaining 17 CHL member clubs.
The IceMen's lone representative Brian Bicek will lead the IceMen back home tomorrow night as his team marks its return to Swonder Ice Arena following a 19-days absence due to an extended 6-game road trek.
Tomorrow night at 7:30 pm, the IceMen will play host to the Mississippi RiverKings on "New Year's Eve Jerseys Night." The IceMen will don special New Year's Eve Jerseys which will be auctioned immediately following the game.
The IceMen's home appearance tomorrow night will act as one of the cameo category as General Manager/Head Coach Rich Kromm's contingent will embark on another foreign ice expedition with this latest junket journey consisting of 4-games.
Evansville will be spending the New Year's holiday abroad as the team travels to Dayton Friday night for an encore engagement with the Gems with face-off time set for 6:30 pm CST with broadcast time on New Year's Eve being 6:00 pm CST on WEOA-AM 1400 and on the world-wide internet at 1400amweoa.com.
Then, it's on to Bloomington, IL for a Saturday night, New Year's night affair against the PrairieThunder at 7:00 pm; broadcast time 6:30 pm CST. This will be the IceMen's second of three sojourns to Bloomington in the span of 11-days.
