Joesph Duszak Named to the 2020 ECHL All-Star Game

St. John's - The ECHL announced the rosters for the 2020 Warrior/ECHL All-Star Classic presented by Toyota, to be hosted by the Wichita Thunder on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. CT at INTRUST Bank Arena. The game will air LIVE exclusively on NHL Network. Representing Newfoundland and the Eastern Conference All-Stars is Growlers Rookie Defenseman Joseph Duszak.

Duszak, 22, has played in 26 games with the Growlers this season, recording 27 points (8 goals, 19 assists). The Franklin Square, New York native has also skated in 6 games with Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League this season where he has registered 1 goal.

Prior to signing an entry-level contract with Toronto Maple Leafs, Duszak played with the Mercyhurst Lakers of the NCAA where he totalled 99 points (30 goals, 69 assists) in 101 games. During the 2018-19 season, He led all the Atlantic Hockey conference defenseman in points and tied for the league lead in points and assists. As a result, he was named the Atlantic Hockey Player of the Year and Atlantic Hockey Best Defenseman. Duszak was also nominated for the Hobey Baker Award as the top National Collegiate Athletic Association men's ice hockey player and selected for the AHCA All-America Second Team. He was also named to the All-Atlantic Hockey First Team.
