
Hitmen Select Two in 2021 WHL US Priority Draft

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen selected two players, one forward and one defenceman, in the WHL U.S. Priority Draft for 2006 born U.S players. The 2021 draft was conducted online Wednesday morning and hosted by the Western Hockey League Office.
The Hitmen drafted forward Aidan Park with their first pick, 19th overall. Park is considered one of the top 2006 born players in the US. The product of Playa Vista, California, currently plays at Shattuck St. Mary's in Fairbault Minnesota on their U16 AAA team. In the second round of the two-round draft, the Hitmen selected Will Skahan from the St. Thomas Academy. The 6'3" left shot defenceman from Maple Grove, is one of the top 2006 born defenceman in Minnesota.
"We are very excited to add both Aidan and Will to our prospect pool," said Hitmen Travelling Scout Gary Michalick "Aidan is a talented forward with high scoring ability, while Will is well-rounded and mobile defenceman."

Players not drafted today remain eligible to be selected in the online 2021 WHL Prospects Draft on Thursday, December 9th.
