Gladiators Acquire Dagenais in trade with Louisiana for McCulloch

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that they have acquired defenseman Randy Dagenais from the Louisiana IceGators in exchange for defenseman Dave McCulloch.

Dagenais returns to the Gladiators after beginning his professional career in Gwinnett last season before being traded to the Greenville Grrrowl. Dagenais appeared in 5 games for the Gladiators but did not register a point last season.

The Valrita, Ontario native ranked third in scoring for the IceGators with 32 points off of 9 goals and 23 assists this season. Dagenais' 32 points shares second overall in defensive scoring in the ECHL this year.

McCulloch goes to the IceGators having posted 2 goals and 4 assists for 6 points in 40 games this season for the Gladiators.

Dagenais should be available for the Gladiators 7:05 p.m. tilt in Charlotte to battle the Checkers on Friday.

The Central Division Champion Gwinnett Gladiators continue their second season on the road on Friday, February 11th against the Charlotte Checkers at 7:05 p.m. The Gladiators offer several ticket packages for different needs as well as group outings, suites and birthday parties.
