Ice Pilots Have Best Record In ECHL

Ice Pilots Improve winning Streak to franchise best Eight in a Row. The Pensacola Ice Pilots won all three games this past week and improved their winning streak to a franchise best eight in a row. The Ice Pilots defeated the IceGators at Louisiana last Wednesday 5-4. Alex Materuhkin, Aaron Phillips, Chris St. Jacques, Scott May and Came Keith scored goals for the Ice Pilots. Keith scored the game winning goal with 3.04 left in regulation time. The Ice Pilots outshot Louisiana 37-28. Frederic Cloutier was the winning goalie.

The Ice Pilots won at Mississippi on Friday night 4-1. Jordan Krestanovich scored two goals for the Ice Pilots. Dwayne Hay and Jason Beckett also scored goals for the Ice Pilots. The Ice Pilots had 27 shots on goal and Mississippi had 54. Freder! ic Cloutier was the winning goalie.

The Ice Pilots won their eighth game in a row on Saturday night 4-3 in a shootout in front of a sellout crowd of 11,355 fans at Gwinnett. Dwayne Hay, Tyler Beechey and Jordan Krestanovich scored the goals for the Ice Pilots in regulation. Came Keith, Corey Neilson and Aaron Phillips scored goals for the Ice Pilots in the shootout. Frederic Cloutier stopped three of four shooters in the shootout. The Ice Pilots had 32 shots and Gwinnett had 40. Frederic Cloutier was the winning goalie.

The Ice Pilots go into the week with the best record in the ECHL at 30-11-4 for 64 points and on a franchise best eight game winning streak. Ice Pilots Head Coach Dave Farrish has a career total of 499 wins and can get his 500th career regular season win on Friday night at home vs. Texas.

The Ice Pilots will also play home on Monday, February 14th Valentine's Day vs. South Carolina at 7:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots lost at South Carolina earlier this season 4-0 on November 24th. The Ice Pilots have an all time record of 5-4-1 vs. the Stingrays including a record of 2-3-0 at home and 3-1-1 on the road.

Promotions for Friday, Saturday and Monday Valentine's Day. Friday night is Church Night. Bring you church group to the game. Saturday Night is Scout Night. All of the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts will be at the game. The U.S. Army will give away 25 game pucks during the game in a contest on Saturday night. The winner of the Hearts in Hangar promotion will take place during the intermission on Valentine's Night.

Leading Scorers: Tyler Beechey leads the Ice Pilots in scoring with 59 point! s and is the leading scorer in the league. Beechey also leads the team with 22 goals which is also the second best in the league. Beechey also leads the team with 37 assists which is the second best in the league. Beechey is first in the league with 7 game winning goals and first in the league with 23 power play points. Corey Neilson is the leading scoring defenseman in the league with 38 points. Nielson also leads all defenseman with 10 goals and 28 assists. Todd Ford has the third best goals against average in the league at 2.05 and third best save percentage at .936. Frederic Cloutier is fourth in the league among goalies with 18 wins and fourth in the league with 889 saves.

Tentative Practice Schedule this week; The Ice Pilots will have Monday off. The Ice Pilots will practice at the Civic Center this week beginning at 10 a.m. from Tuesday through Thursday. The Ice Pilots will have a pre skate on Friday and Saturday at 10 a.m. and play home games Friday and Saturday a! t 7:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots will have a tentative practice some time on Sunday and will have a pre skate on Monday, February 14th at 10 a.m. and play home to South Carolina on February 14th at 7:05 p.m.

Ice Pilots in the Community: The Ice Pilots will visit the Navarre Library on Tuesday, February 8th from 3:30 p.m. 4:30 p.m. for Lacing up for Literacy with Nextel.

Ice Pilots and Nextel Team Up with Unofficial Assistant Coach Contest: The Ice Pilots are teaming up with Nextel for an Unofficial Assistant Coach C! ontest will runs through February 18th at Nextel owner retail stores. One lucky fan will have the opportunity to be the unofficial assistant coach of the game by meeting Ice Pilots Head Coach Dave Farrish and the Ice Pilots players before the game on Friday, February 25th vs. the Columbia Inferno at 7:05 p.m.

The lucky winner will also be on the Ice Pilots bench during pre game warm ups and the winner and guest will sit in the "Nextel Best Seats in the House" during the game. Fans can register at the following Nextel-owner retail stores participating in the promotion:

Ice Pilots Announce Ticket Packages for Kelly Cup Playoffs and 2005-06 Regular Season: The 14 home game Kelly Cup Playoff ticket invoices will be mailed out in mid to late February. C! urrent Season Ticket holders who purchase the playoff package will hav e the option to apply any unused balance of the playoff tickets to next year's season tickets or have their balance refunded if any of the 14 home playoff games are not played. Playoff payments are due in full by March 31, 2005.

The renewal process for the 2005-2006 season tickets has begun. There is a dollar increase per ticket for all ticket types in all price levels for 2005-06. Early Bird Special: Season ticket holders can put down a $50 deposit per ticket thru March 31, 2005 witht eh full balance for 2005-06 season tickets due in full by September 1, 2005. There is a monthly payment plan option of 12 payments, beginning May 1, 2005 and ending April 1, 2006.

Dodge Player of the Week: Forward Jordan Krestanovich has been nominated for the ECHL Player of the Week. Krestanovich scored three goals this past week and picked up two assists. Goalie Frederic Cloutier has been nominated for the ECHL Goalie of the Week. Cloutier won all three games this past week. Frederic Clo! utier has been named the Dodge Player of the Week.

Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed will be sponsoring the Ice Pilots leading scorer award this season. During the season, we will be updating you with the Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed Ice Pilots top scorer. At the end of the season, Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed will present a trophy to the Ice Pilots top scorer. Fans will have an update on the Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed top scorer in the weekly release and at www.icepilots.com. Tyler Beechey is the top scorer on the Ice Pilots with 59 points. Alumni Jersey Auction is Underway at www.icepilots.com. The Ice Pilots are proud to announce that the Alumni Jerseys that the Ice Pilots alumni and current players will be wearing on Subway Alumni Night Saturday, February 26th at 5:05 p.m.! with the Subway Alumni Game followed by the Ice Pilots vs. Mississipp i at 7:05 p.m. is underway at www.icepilots.com.

The alumni jerseys are in the color of navy blue with the letter Pensacola written on the front of the jersey in gold with white trim. Assigned Players from Toronto Maple Leafs: The Ice Pilots currently have nine players on the roster assigned from Toronto. They are center Scott May, goalie Todd Ford, defenseman Dave Turon, defenseman Dominic D'Amour, center Chris St. Jacques, center Kris Newbury, center Cory Stillman, left wing Cam Keith and defenseman Tyson Marsh. Dominic D'Amour, David Turon, Tyson Marsh, Todd Ford, Dominic D'Amour and Kris Newbury have been recalled to St. John's of the AHL.

Kerr's Kids: For the second season in a row the Ice Pilots are introducing "Kerr's Kids." Thanks to Ice Pilots owner Tim Kerr and SMG (Pensacola Civic Center), the Ice Pilots would like to invite organizations devoted to helping children who are terminally ill or have special limitati! ons to be our guest during the 2004-05 regular season for a great night of hockey. Each organization is encouraged to pick 3-4 dates throughout the regular season. The Ice Pilots will provide free admission for 12 people (We would like to have at least 6 or more children, escorts are required for the children and are counted as part of the 12). SMG will provide a hot dog and soda for each guest. If accessible seating is needed the Ice Pilots must be notified at least 2 days in advance and seating will be arranged. All members must stay in assigned seats. Please provide a list of attendee's 24 hours prior to game day. Ice Pilots Offer Pay-Per-View Webcasts with B2 Networks this season. The Ice Pilots home games and several road games will be available for viewing on the Ice Pilots website at www.icepilots.com. The Ice Pilots have partnered with B2 Networks based in Las Vegas, Nevada on the pay-per-view broadcast.

Fans will be able to click on the "Watch the Game Live" icon at the Ice Pilots website to view and listen to the game. The broadcast is available to fans with a high speed DSL or Cable modem internet connection and the charge is $6 per game. At this time a total of 58 of the Ice Pilots 72 regular season games will be available for viewing at www.icepilots.com. All three games this week are available on pay per view at www.icepilots.com with B2 Networks.

Ice Pilots Radio Show at the Gutter Lounge again this! season: The Ice Pilots Radio show will once again be broadcasted from the Gutter Lounge at Phoenix Crossing inside the new Liberty Lanes this year located at 3200 North Palafox Street.
