Checkers make roster moves

CHARLOTTE, NC – The Charlotte Checkers announced today that forward Stephen Greeley has been traded to the Mississippi Sea Wolves for future considerations. Checkers defensemen Paul Lynch and Joe Dustin were also traded today to the Louisiana IceGators for future considerations.

Greeley played 11 games for the Checkers, starting on January 7, 2005. During that time he accumulated one goal and four assists for five points. He finishes his stretch with the Checkers with a plus/minus rating of +3 and eight penalty minutes. Greeley was originally acquired in a trade with the Pee Dee Pride.

Acquired from the Johnstown Chiefs, Lynch played his first of 24 games with the Checkers on December 10, 2004, versus the Gwinnett Gladiators. In a Charlotte uniform, Lynch had a total of five assists and twenty six penalty minutes. With Lynch, the Checkers went 13-11-0.

Dustin came to the Checkers from the SPHL for the December 28, 2004, contest against the South Carolina Stingrays. Playing a total of 15 games with Charlotte, Dustin had one goal and two assists. With Dustin aboard, the Checkers went 9-6-0.
