Deslauriers assigned to Grrrowl

GREENVILLE, SC – The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL, proud affiliates of the Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers have announced that JEFF DESLAURIERS (G) (dah-LA-re-ay) has been assigned to the team. The 6-4, 195lbs. goalie has played in 12 games in Edmonton this season with the Road Runners of the AHL, posting a 4-7-1 record.

Deslauriers was a second round selection (#31 overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers. The 20-year-old St. Jean-Richelieu, Quebec native competed in the QMJHL for three seasons with Chicoutimi Saqueneens. Deslauriers is expected to be in uniform on Friday evening when the Grrrowl travel to Florence, SC to take on the Pee Dee Pride.

Greenville will complete the current five-game road trip at Pee Dee on Friday (7:30pm), before returning to the BI-LO Center to host Augusta on Friday, February 12, 2005.
