February 4 @ Victoria, 3-2 Win - After allowing a 2-0 lead to slip away in the final 10 minutes of the third period, Fresno kept Victoria winless for the 20th straight game when David Brisson banged in the game-winning tally just as time expired to end regulation.

February 5 @ Victoria, 5-4 Shootout Loss - In the final game of the three-game set at Victoria it was the Falcons' turn to play catch-up in the third period. After a scoreless overtime period, the Salmon Kings finally ended their league-record winless skid in the seventh round of the shootout.

NOTES

. John Wroblewski played his 100th game as a pro (all with the Falcons) on Feb. 2 and marked the occasion by scoring an unassisted, short-handed, game-winning goal. The second-year Notre Dame graduate recorded a total of four goals and one assist last week against Victoria.

. Dan Tessier picked up six points (3g-3a) in only two games against the Salmon Kings as he begins this week tied for fourth in the league in scoring with 47 points (20g-27a).

. Shaun Sutter is still tied for the ECHL lead with 10 power play goals.

. After Curtis Sheptak and Dan Tessier both missed their first games of the season this past week, the Falcons will not have a player suit up in all 72 regular season games for the first time since 1999-00. John Wroblewski played all 72 contests for the club last season.

. Despite losing to the Salmon Kings in a shootout on Feb. 5, the Falcons' single point for the effort gave them their 53rd point in the standings and helped the team surpass last year's season-ending point total in just the 45th game of the season. Last season Fresno went 23-43-6 with 52 points over the 72-game schedule.

. The Falcons are ranked 2nd (19.1%) on the power play and 16th (83.1%) on the penalty kill.

. Fresno begins the week in sole possession of fourth place in the West Division two points clear of the fifth-place San Diego Gulls. The team is three points behind the third-place Alaska Aces and nine points back of the division-leading Long Beach Ice Dogs.
