
Rivermen to Appear at U.S. Cellular Store on Tuesday, February 8

Peoria, Ill. (February 7, 2005) â Tough man Mark Jerant and rookie defenseman Patrick Wellar of the Peoria Rivermen of the ECHL will appear at the U.S. Cellular Store at the Shoppes at Grand Prairie (7714 North Grand Prairie Drive, Peoria, IL 61615) on Tuesday, February from 3-4:00 p.m.
Both players will interact with and sign autographs for those customers and fans who attend.
The Peoria Rivermen are a proud affiliate of the NHL's St. Louis Blues and a member of the ECHL â The Premier "AA" Hockey League. On Friday, February 11, the Rivermen host the Dayton Bombers at 7:30 p.m. at Carver Arena. It's the Third Annual Potter & Anderson Jewelers "Wedding on Ice." Five Peoria-area couples will get married on Carver Arena ice. The team will wear special Valentine's Day-themed jerseys to be auctioned immediately following the game with the proceeds benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois â Peoria Office. On Sunday, February 13, Peoria hosts the rival Johnstown Chiefs for the first time this season. Game time is 3:00 p.m. at Carver Arena. It is the third of four Peoria Journal Star/Insight Media Family Days. Kids 12 & Under receive a $2 Upper Bowl admission, and there are $2.50 Kids Meals. Scooby Doo will appear courtesy of the Cartoon Network. Six-game & three-game ticket plans for the remainder of the 2004-2005 season are available for $99 and $48 per seat, respectively, by calling 309.676.1040 x106.
