
Greeley Acquired From Charlotte

BILOXI, Miss. â Mississippi Sea Wolves general manager and head coach Bob Woods announced today that the team has acquired center Stephen Greeley (GREE-lee) from the Charlotte Checkers completing the December 31 trade that sent defenseman Brian Escobedo (EHS-coh-bee-doh) to Charlotte for future considerations.
Greeley, 24, is in his first professional season after playing four years at Boston University. The 5-foot-7 and 160-pound Greeley had one goal, four assists, a plus/minus of +3 and eight penalty minutes in 11 games with Charlotte. A native of Scituate, Massachusetts, Greeley started the season with the Pee Dee Pride of the ECHL, where he collected six assists, a plus/minus of +6 and two penalty minutes in 14 games.
Greeley will be available to the Sea Wolves at 6:30 p.m. CT tomorrow as Mississippi travels to Estero, Florida to take on the Florida Everblades. The Sea Wolves return home for games on Friday and Sunday against the South Carolina Stingrays at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
Friday's home game gets underway at 7:35 p.m. Promotion for the game consists of Military 2-for-1, sponsored by Keesler Federal Credit Union, which offers all military personnel, active or retired, two tickets for the price of one by showing military identification at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum box office.
The game on Sunday, which was originally scheduled for Saturday, starts at 3:05 p.m. WWE Wrestling Superstar Shawn Michaels will be meeting and greeting fans and signing autographs from 2-4 p.m. VIP Packages are on sale, which allows each fan to be among the first to meet Shawn Michaels. A VIP Package includes one platinum ticket along with a lanyard for the game, plus one 8x10 color photograph with a guaranteed autograph from Shawn Michaels for $50.
